Battery Technology, Inc. (BTI) Announces an Industry-Leading Warranty Initiative for Notebook Computer Batteries & AC Power Adapters
With almost twenty years of experience in the design and manufacturing of replacement batteries and AC power adapters for notebook computers (laptops), Battery Technology, Inc. (BTI) has developed a solid understanding of what it requires to engineer and produce products with the highest levels of quality and safety. BTI will put this experience to task by extending the current warranty on its BTI-brand batteries for notebook computers from twelve(12) months to an industry leading eighteen(18) months. BTI will also be extending the current warranty on its BTI-brand AC power adapters for notebook computers from twelve(12) months to twenty four(24) months.
The goal of this initiative is to reinforce the message to customers that all notebook computer (laptop) batteries and AC power adapters are not the same. BTI has always used the highest quality components with UL certifications; lithium ion cells from the world’s top manufacturers in Japan and Korea; traceable date coding and redundant safety circuitry to prevent a battery from overheating due to a charging or discharging malfunction.

“We are seeing more substandard, low cost products from China coming into the market that end up causing future problems, increased returns and customer frustration.” said Dave Sarazen, Executive Vice President of BTI. “The lower prices are difficult to ignore, but people ultimately realize that they get what they pay for, which in this case, is a battery that does not provide adequate runtime for a very long period of time. We are extremely confident with the quality of our products and want to reward our loyal customers by extending the BTI-brand battery warranty for an additional six months. It is doubtful that the low cost battery suppliers can offer this type of warranty anytime soon.” Sarazen added.
